The New Orleans Region is the hub for international trade, university research, health care, maritime industries, energy/petrochemicals and the cultural arts in South Louisiana. The New Orleans Regional Chamber of Commerce is a membership-driven organization of more than 2,800 companies in the parishes of Jefferson, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. James and St. John the Baptist. Its mission is to create a favorable environment for the growth and development of business throughout the region. This is accomplished through strong advocacy on public-policy issues at the local, state and federal level; initiatives to help improve quality of life and enhance economic development; and by providing networking opportunities, skill-building seminars and other services that foster the expansion of business.

The Regional Chamber maintains a professional staff to pursue the priorities of the corporate community and to help member companies grow their business.
