One of state's top safety prospects; two-time Class 4A All-State selection; two-time All-Metro selection. Defensive playmaker with exceptional ball skills; fierce hitter who closes quickly on the perimeter to track down ball carriers. Always plays hard. Rated as nation's No. 17 safety prospect by ESPN.com. Named to PrepStar All-Southeast Region Team. Runs 40 in 4.5 seconds with 32-inch vertial leap. As a senior, recorded 107 tackles (51 unassisted) with two fumble recoveries, one blocked kick and five interceptions returned for 230 yards. Returned one interception 85 yards for a touchdown versus Morgan City. Also returned 10 punts for 274 yards and two touchdowns. Had breakout season as a junior with nine interceptions, 72 tackles (38 unassisted) and 13 passes defensed. Had offers from Ole Miss and Louisiana Tech, plus interest from Alabama, when he committed to LSU during spring practice at the end of his junior year. Projects to be qualified.
