FINDING ADDRESSES IN LONDON

You can now find street addresses in London for the area inside the London M25 loop. With MapQuest, you can now find "10 Downing St, London, England," for example.

London is divided into many areas (called boroughs). Boroughs include famous areas such as Chelsea, Camden, Kingston upon Thames, Ealing, Chiswick, Hackney and many others. If you are not sure which area the London address is located in then just enter London and MapQuest will prompt you with different options. If you do know the area, then feel free to enter it. For example, you could find "10 Downing St, Westminster, England" or "11 Kings Rd, Chelsea, England."

If you don't know the street number or MapQuest can't find the address then just enter the street name, and MapQuest will prompt you with suggestions.

Sometimes the London address you have might be on the boundary of a borough area. If it does not find the address in that borough, then try entering "London" as the city.

FINDING ADDRESSES IN CANADA

You can now find street addresses throughout Canada. With MapQuest, you can now find "10 Young St, Toronto, Canada" or "99 Bank St, Ottawa, Canada" for example. If you don't know the street number or MapQuest can't find the address then just enter the street name, and MapQuest will prompt you with suggestions.

FINDING BUSINESSES AND LANDMARKS IN EUROPE

MapQuest now has information on major restaurants and hotels, landmarks, transportation stops, and gas stations for London and many large European cities in the following countries:

France (such as Nice, Paris and Lyons);
Italy,
Switzerland,
Austria,
Germany,
Belgium,
Luxembourg,
southern Netherlands (such as Rotterdam),

As always MapQuest will be adding new information as it becomes available.

The POIs are in the country's native language, so finding them can be a bit tricky. For example, typing "Eiffel Tower" in the Business or Place Name field will fail, but "Eiffel" will find several matches. Check your travel guide book for the local language name of the business or landmark. You may enter either the anglicized and nationalized name of the major cities, for example "Wien" or "Vienna."

Here are some more examples:

To find the "Louvre Museum" in Paris enter the word "louvre" or "musee louvre" in the business name.
To find the "Coliseum" in Rome, enter the Italian word "Colosseo","Rome, Italy."
To find "Schiphol" airport in the Netherlands, just look for "Schiphol" in the "Netherlands."
To find the "Hilton" hotel in Vienna, Austria, enter this information.
Type in "Buckingham Palace," "Harrods," "Tower Bridge," "Parliament," "Madam Tussaud," "Wimbledon" and "Trafalgar Square" to see some of the top tourist sites in London.
